SOLD The First Appearance Can Be Deceiving

From a series "What Has Been Carefully Hidden" created at the end of 2018 in my brand new studio! This came on the tail of my Conversations series. Looking at a host of childhood photos I noticed the contrast between today's youth, ever ready with their selfie faces, smiling for the world  to see/their mom or dad to share, and yesterday's children, often sullen, certainly not what we think of as happy. Which got me thinking about how much is hidden from the camera lens. History will see our current world as a curated, pleasant, never ugly, always smiling, living our #bestlives.

Yah. Right.
