My finished wax crow from Stephanie's Hand-Formed Simple Sculpture class.
I love this beast.
He is ever so tactile and weighty and substantial.
I *get* sculpture!
And work in progress ... though almost complete ... Sacred Mouse House.
The second in my Crows & Houses 2015 theme.
Obviously more house, less crow, In this one!

Deletehahaha ... I'm always mucking around w/blog design, it's my "whiling away my time" activity. How's YOUR redesign coming along?!?
sigh. Still in my head ... need to put fingers to keyboard and press "Change" ... but feeling fairly clear about the *new look* ;>]] Sure like how clean yours is !
DeleteMy goodness, these are awesome! I wish I could hold the crow in my own hand....it just invites you to reach out to hold it. Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michele ... for your kind words ... for visiting!
DeleteThe crow really does have a certain heft to it that begs to be touched, coddled, stroked!
wow, Jen, I love these!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Carol. I'm having much fun exploring plaster within my yearlong theme. Just the right mix of open ended and confinement!
DeleteJen, you continually delight and amaze me! (ooh two Carols in a row!)
ReplyDeleteThanks Second Carol In A Row! ;)
DeleteAs a potter I'm sure you can appreciate the tactility (word? is now!) of plaster.
And it suits my "let's get this show on the road" nature to a "T"!
